Is not length and quality of life far more valuable than dollars and pennies? Why is it then that the time, strength and youth of man is spent without thought, yet money, that has neither emotion, life nor soul, is ferociously guarded in the name of stewardship and holy righteousness? Is life so cheap as to be frivolously spent, discarded and lost so that wealth be accrued and saved? A dollar blown down a busy street is more likely to chased, caught and safely pocketed than a lone woman on the side of the road with a flat tire is likely to get unsolicited help. Who are we then? Angels of God’s great love, or emissaries of mammon and greed.
