Inheritance

Updated: Apr 4

They that wait on the Lord shall inherit the earth PS37.9

Since the earth cannot be bequeathed by any entity that does not own it, and that inheritance is only bequeathed to family, then this promise of God is rich in content.

  1. Only The Lord can bequeath “the earth” He is the benefactor and Creator.

  2. It is the family or “adopted” family that are the beneficiaries, that receive the inheritance.

  3. “The earth” can easily applied to present tense scenarios and actually implies that rather than “afterlife” scenarios (but those must be included).

  4. To force an “earthly” scenario in a person’s own timing without regard or direction by The Lord will not result in any “earthly” inheritance as issued by the benefactor (The Lord). It would be theft.

  5. If not an inheritance from The Lord, then that cannot be an “inheritance”. It can only be “sensual, not from above” which indicates that it would be temporary and the antithesis of The Lord, not rooted in His familial love

  6. ...if 5 (above), then not waiting on The Lord is pure folly and not to be done regardless of the impatience of the beneficiaries. It’s almost as if one would commit murder to receive the inheritance before its due season....
